The WORD of the living God must be first place and final authority in our lives. God told Joshua to meditate in it day and night, keep it in his mouth and do it. Why? “And then you shall deal wisely and have good success!” Meditating and listening to God from the heart for the “inward witness” is like God’s simulator. When you get caught up in it, you get into the realm where God can show you some things. Cultivate hearing from Him and being led by His Spirit.
All prayer must be based on God’s WORD because His WORD, the Bible, is God speaking to us. So, prayer that brings results must be based on God’s WORD. God’s WORD is the answer to everything you need. So start with the answer! His covenant promises are blood-backed by the shed blood of His own Son! When you know that God never fails, and His WORD never fails, you can stand in faith to receive, without wavering!
Faith is the confirmation, the title deed, or ownership, of the things hoped for. Hope isn’t wishing, but a confident expectation of obtaining. It knows the title deed for the thing desired was already purchased by Jesus’ precious blood and is full of joy now. It operates in wisdom and faith, holding onto the powerful Word of the One who is love!
Faith prepares for victory! It stays in the Word of God and stands firmly on what God says. It doesn’t worry or fret or have anxiety about any situation, including governments, because faith knows our God will abundantly supply all we need. When we continue to pray for all, work together as Partners to get the Word out and walk in His Love, miracles happen!
Jewish believers in the First Covenant saw afar off, the promise of the Messiah and His sacrifice for them. Jesus, the Messiah, came—the final sacrifice for sin. Now salvation is by faith, not works of the Law. Jesus defeated death and hell to give us His authority that only works by the love that dwells in us by His Spirit. We now have the power of attorney to use His Name to continue His ministry of destroying the works of the devil and setting captives free!
Just as the Shunamite woman in 2 Kings 4 spoke only her faith in the midst of a dire situation, we need to do the same. In the midst of even tragic situations, words of faith will turn everything around. “All is well,” should be our declaration. In the natural, everything looks the opposite of well, but by faith I declare: “I’m not moved by what I see, I’m not moved by what I feel. I’m moved only by what I believe. The Bible says it. I believe it, and that settles it!”
When you were born again, you received power—ability, efficiency and might—from God to be witnesses for Jesus on the earth. God so dearly loved and prized you and your family, He sent this same Jesus so you could become His dear children, walk in His love and be filled with His Spirit. And it’s this same Jesus who not only took all your sins, but also healed your body, so you could live in righteousness and victory all the days of your life!
The Jesus whose birth we celebrate at Christmas was prophesied millennia before His arrival in Bethlehem of Judea. Those spoken words took on flesh, and the “Sun of Righteousness” came with healing in His wings and the authority of heaven in His voice to still storms, heal the sick and raise the dead. He brought the good news of freedom in a New Blood Covenant that would last for eternity. We celebrate not just His birth but His life!
